We have signed up for the month of November to send snacks to HOPE HOUSE to help the students feel loved and cared for as they finish out their fall semester. We will collect the PW THANK OFFERING. 40% of this offering funds health ministries throughout the world and the remain 60% funds new creative ideas for mission. www.presbyterianwomen.org/?s=thank+offering
Week of November 16
This week we will be getting ready for our annual CHRISTMAS VILLAGE. We will need volunteers to help set up on Friday, be available throughout the day on Saturday and also to help clean up Saturday after the venders leave. Also, please GET THE WORD OUT. Cards are available to pass out with all the information and you can share the links on Facebook.
Week of November 23
The GRATEFUL GOBBLER WALK raises funds for the Maclellan Shelter for Families which provides housing for families experiencing homelessness. They also allow participants to run, walk, or even SLEEPWALK through the race. Week of November 30
On this first Sunday of Advent we remember those who live in Palestine today who suffer from starvation and armed conflict. We will receive an offering for World Central Kitchen which has been able to continue to bring food aid to the Gaza Strip in spite of all the logistical hurdles currently hindering aid distribution. One of the most exciting ways we are celebrating our 50th Anniversary is with our 50 for 50. The Session is organizing 50 service opportunities as a way for New Hope to celebrate its first 50 years of living out our mission of "Growing together in faith, love, and service." Each week starting February 2, we will highlight a specific act of service. You are encouraged to get involved each week. There will be opportunities on Sundays to share our experiences.
