Summary of the Session Meeting 

February 17, 2019

 
  • Troy Ivey provided the Session with a budget update.
    • Troy will provide the congregation with a written financial report and will discuss our financial status at the potluck dinner at the end of February 24th.
  • The office staff, with the help of volunteers, is cleaning out and reorganizing old papers and records.
  • The Earth Care team has reapplied for recertification as a green church.
  • The Property Committee reported that we are waiting for a letter from TDOT regarding recommendations for the turn light on Shallowford Road.
    • New actions are on hold until that letter is received.
  • The property Committee and the Session are planning to organize an open house at the new church site in early April to give our members a chance to get a feel for the new property.
    • The Session will be asking for ideas on what we would like to see at the new location.
  • Lizz Savard briefly discussed strategic planning for mission.
    • This will be the main topic of the Session Retreat on March 2nd.
 The next stated Session meeting is the retreat on March 2nd.
