Summary of the Session Meeting
October 22, 2017
- The Session is beginning it's annual Shoebox project for Operation Christmas Child.
- With so many natural disasters creating so much need, we are suggesting that you can alternately make a choice of preparing a shoebox or contributing to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Fund.
- The website for the Presbyterian Disaster is pda.pcusa.org.

- The Session approved the date of November 12 for a congregational meeting to elect the Elder Nominating Committee.
- The Session authorized the hiring of a new company to do church cleaning.
- There will be a Presbytery meeting Tuesday, November 14 for anyone interested in attending.
- The Buildings & Grounds Committee reported that several repair issues around the church have been completed.
- Some of the damage cause by recnet vandalism has been reparired.
- Replacement of exterior lights is awaiting an electrician and should be addressed shortly.
- We have received an estimate for the removal of the dead tree along the boundary with the hotel.
- The hotel has agreed to pay half the cost and Ron Young will be contacting them.
- The question of church security was discussed and the discussion will continue at the next meeting.
- The worship committee reported that the Christmas Cantata has been scheduled for December 10.
- Rev. Worth will be attending the Credo Conference the first week of November.
- New Hope will be sponsoring a Christmas Village with vendors and activities on December 2 from 10am - 4pm.
- Voluneers will be needed.

- Lizz Savard continued the Strategic Planning process with the Session.
The next Session meeting will be November 19.
